Booking your wedding photography with us is simple and stress-free! Start by reaching out with your wedding date and preferred package, and we’ll confirm availability and answer any questions. Once you’re ready, we’ll send over a contract and details to officially reserve your date. After that, we’ll work together to plan the perfect photography timeline, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience from start to finish!
1. Schedule complimentary consultation
We would love to hear your vision and tell you more about us. Perfect opportunity to customize your package and receive planning tips.
2. Sign Contract and Reserve the Date
You will receive a link with all details outlined so you can review before signing the Agreement. A deposit will be due at the time of signing,. Once completed - you secured the date! The remaining balance will be due 30 days before your wedding day.
3. The Big Day
After months of planning, your big day is finally here, and our team will be ready to roll—capturing every joyful moment and preserving your beautiful memories. A week before your wedding, we’ll schedule a call to confirm the timeline and discuss any last-minute changes, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
4. Photos & Prints
After your unforgettable journey as newlyweds, you’ll relive every precious moment through a beautifully curated gallery of images. Our team will guide you through album and wall art options, helping you preserve your love story in timeless prints to cherish forever.

FAQ
How far in advance should we book our wedding photographer?
It’s best to book as early as possible—typically 6-12 months in advance—to secure your preferred date, especially during peak wedding seasons. Destination and Cruise weddings require more travel related planning and based on location, sometimes a week of availability for your photography team.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes! Many of our packages include an engagement session, which is a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera before your big day.
How many hours of coverage do we need?
It depends on your wedding timeline, number of locations, wedding size, and desired coverage. With all of our packages you can add time. Elopements usually require 90 min - 3 hours of prime coverage. With good organization, fours hours is a sufficient time for pre-ceremony portraits, Ceremony, group pictures, Grand entrance, first dance and cake cutting. Six hours prime coverage will capture key moments including getting ready shots. Eight hours is ideal to capture getting ready, venue decorations, accessories, first looks, surprise gifts, the ceremony, portraits, group pictures, reception moments, and
send off.
How long does it take to get our photos delivered?
Final edited images are typically delivered within 3-6 weeks, with a sneak peek provided within a week after your wedding. Videos are delivered within 4-8 weeks.
Do you work with a second photographer?
Yes! We have an experienced team of photographers that have been with LightStrikes for over 6 years now. Some packages include a second photographer for additional angles and full coverage, but this can also be added as an extra service.
What happens if it rains on our wedding day?
We always have a backup plan for bad weather, whether it’s an indoor location, creative lighting solutions, or adjusting the schedule for better conditions. Most high end cameras are not water resistant, but we will do our best to capture fun shots under the rain if you are willing to have fun under the rain!
Do you offer albums and prints?
Yes, we offer custom-designed albums, fine art prints, and wall art to help you display and cherish your wedding memories.
Do you travel for destination or cruise weddings?
Yes! We love capturing destination weddings and can provide a custom quote that includes travel and accommodation costs.
Can we request specific shots or must-have moments?
Absolutely! We encourage couples to share a shot list or inspiration to ensure we capture the moments that matter most to you.
What if we're getting married abroad?
We would love to capture your adventure! All of our photographers have a EU citizenship and can travel in most countries without waiting for visas.
How do we book, and when is our date secured?
Your date is officially reserved once a signed contract and deposit are received. We’ll then schedule a planning call to go over all the details!
